It's an okay car
Although the 2015 Chevy Sonic is an okay car; I wouldn't purchase again. The material has held up well against two children and all the spills that go along with them. The car is easy to clean and has a large trunk space. The car handles very well and has quite the power for a little car. There are little things that I didn't notice when we test drove that bothers me. There is no scan button for the radio; although I listen to the same station most of the time when I am out of the area, it would make it more convenient to be able to hit the scan button to find a station I like. The front seats are kind of hard. On short distances they are fine, but on long trips one quickly gets uncomfortable. The wipers "high" speed is really more of a medium speed. In heavy downpours the wipers can not keep up. The front passenger doesn't have an arm rest on the left side. The console area is tight so I understand why there is only one arm rest, but it would be nice to have something to rest arm on during long trips. The hidden area above the glove department is a nice feature that has a place to plug in a usb and is a great spot to put items to hide from view.

Fun smaller vehicle
As a man without children who only drives 100 or less miles a month, unless going on a trip, this is a great smaller car to get around town in. The interior is nicely designed and easy to reach all the key buttons and switches. I really like it's an automatic transmission but has a manual mode that allows me to manually change gears when I need to at the touch of a button. The car has nice acceleration and speed for a car in the compact class of cars. In my particular model, it doesn't have a touchscreen or even a display, but it does offer navigation if you pay for OnStar service, which I do not. The car has Bluetooth available for hands-free calling or playing music from a phone. Also, it offers a USB port to charge phones or play mp3 files; however, the USB port is in the glove box instead of a convenient location and charges phones very slowly. I've experienced no mechanical issues with the engine; however, I often experience the windows getting stuck in the winter. One thing that annoys me is only the driver side window will fully go down at the touch of a button; none of the other windows have this feature and require holding the button. Would be nice if the car had a sun roof, but my model does not. I have never experienced any rattles, odd noises, or any defects in the 20,000 miles I have driven it. I took it on a couple road trips and find the gas mileage to be decent, averaging around 34 mpg at 70 - 80 mph. Overall, it's a great car for someone who doesn't usually have passengers and just needs to get from point A to point B.
