2011 Chevrolet Equinox OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Great and roomy car...
We purchased a brand-new Chevy Equinox LS, and it was great driving it off the lot...brand new and shiny. One of the things I love most about the car is the room on the inside. The backseat has tons of room and is very comfortable. The front seat is very roomy too. I was a bit hesitant because I was used to having leather seats in all our cars, but this one has cloth. I have to admit, the cloth seats have held up great. The car is now 8 years old, and the seats still look brand new. This car also gets great gas mileage and has the ECO mode which helps save gas even more. I certainly like that feature. One thing I wish we did have on the car is the feature where the seats and mirrors automatically go back to the place for each driver...not sure what that is called, but I miss having that because every time I get in the car I have to readjust everything. I love the shape of the car and how it looks from the outside. It is kind of sporty and it is fun to drive. We love ours so much, our son and daughter-in-law recently purchased a newer Chevy Equinox and they love theirs too. This car, because of the year, 2011, does not have all the bells and whistles that newer models now days have, but it has enough for me.

Reliable Equinox.
I bought my 2011 Chevrolet Equinox when it was almost brand new. It has been and continues to be a reliable vehicle. I have never had any major problems besides normal wear and tear, and my favorite feature has become the back up/reverse camera that displays on the rearview mirror. The inside is spacious enough for a family of four, (two adults, two car seats in back) and the style is modern and unique. I have over 100k miles and it still drives the same as when I first bought it. The LS model has several colors to choose from, and they all look great. I have two young children so space to me is important, as is safety and reliability. The only downside I can think of is that the rear doors are a bit small. The back storage container easily has room enough for groceries, camping equipment, or a double stroller. I also appreciate that I get great gas mileage, and the car has quite a bit of kick to it when pushing the gas. It handles well, like a medium sized sedan, but has more space than a compact car. Another great feature is the ability to start the car with the keypad from a distance, if you input the correct code, you can start the car from inside and have the air conditioner running before you get in. Overall, it is a safe, reliable vehicle that is great for families, or anyone that likes a little more space.

A dependable car with good value
The 2011 Chevrolet Equinox 1LT is an all around good car. Two engine choices are available - a 4 cylinder or a V6, as well as FWD or AWD. It is a small SUV built on a sedan platform, giving it good fuel economy and a comfortable ride as if it were a smaller car. The redesign for this model year has given it a sleek new design with a rounded shape with nice curves. The cabin is incredibly spacious and even has an adjustable back seat that slides forward and back. The trunk is very large for the size of the car, but not at the expense of making the rest of the passenger area feel cramped. The quality has held up well in the first three years - only 6 oil changes and a few other regular maintenance items have been needed to keep it running well. One disadvantage is the lack of power on the 4 cylinder model - this engine is designed for a much lighter car and feels sluggish in the Equinox; on the upside, it gives great fuel economy. Still, the car is fun to drive (especially with the sunroof open) and feels sporty on the highway despite it being a larger SUV-type vehicle. The car has many safety features including ABS and traction control and has kept me safe on the road throughout harsh winters and blazing hot summers and everything in between.
