Smooth ride
We bought our Traverse about three months ago. We have three children, and the Traverse provides enough space for all three children to have their own space. When my husband and I were vehicle shopping, we were looking for an SUV with lots of room to store sports equipment, musical instruments, backpacks, etc., and have room for the kids to sit comfortably, but also it needed to fit in our very modest budget. We had it narrowed down to the Traverse and a Buick Enclave. We ended up going with the Traverse simply because it seemed to have more room. The overall quality of the vehicle is great. Everything seems to built very sturdy. This is the first Chevrolet I've ever purchased, and based on what I know and have experienced in the short three months that we've had our Traverse, I would definitely recommend a Chevy to a friend and would consider buying another one for myself.

Chevy Traverse is the perfect sized family SUV.
I love so many things about the Chevy Traverse. It has lots of room - including leg room - for all passengers. It gets very good gas mileage and drives very smooth. It is a very quiet running car. Even when it idles, you can barely hear the engine. It has the get up & go that I prefer. When I need to stop quickly, there are no issues or worries that I will not be able to stop in time. It corners well in steep curves and handles nicely on the interstate. The back up camera is a nice feature. I like the different features it has in the console area. I love the smaller hidden compartment in the back hatch area. I can auto start the car so it can warm up or cool down before I get in the vehicle. I like the Bose speaker system and the radio setup. There are lots of options in ways to play music - XM radio, iPod, Bluetooth, of course the basic radio & Pandora. I like that you can easily adjust the steering wheel and that it has a nice lumbar built in. The heated seats are a nice feature. Both the heat and ac work super fast. You don't have to wait very long for the car to heat up or cool down. The material of the fabric seats have a great quality feel to them. The padding is nice and thick but not too stiff. There are a few downsides to this car though. The seats do not really recline at all. They barely go back. So if you have a sleepy passenger wanting to take a quick nap on a road trip, it's almost impossible. Really wished they would recline more. The heated seats - although I love them - I wish you could choose the back or the bottom area. You go through 3 levels, bottom on, bottom & back on, bottom & back on super hot. But you can't have just the back area on by itself. There are blind spots in the car when I'm trying to back up without using the camera. There's not a lot of cargo room in the back. So if we take a trip with a full load of passengers, there's barely any room for the luggage in the back.
