Long Beach, CA Consejos de conducción
If you are driving in Long Beach, you need to be aware that most of the left turns are yields, and you will likely be waiting a very long time to actually make the turn because of the high volume of traffic. Sometimes it is actually worth it to go all the way around a block, or drive a few extra miles to find a protected turn, instead of waiting to yield at the left turns to get onto the smaller streets. Additionally, there are a LOT of pedestrians and motorcyclists/bicyclists, so please watch out for them because they are definitely not watching out for you! The streets are so narrow that sometimes you will have to drive very slowly behind them, so plan you trip accordingly and leave with plenty of time to spare. You should be leaving extra early for your destination anyway because it will be nearly impossible for you to find parking quickly in any area of Long Beach. Most of the parking spaces that you will find will be street parking, so it's best to be fairly confident at parallel parking in this city as well, otherwise you may never actually be able to exit your car.
Long Beach, CA Consejos de compra
There are a lot of cars located in Bixby Knolls/Signal Hill area. Since these are the suburbs, I think this is the only place that they could easily fit large car lots. I have never seen used car lots, but I am sure that they exist, likely in the same region. I know for a fact that there is a Subaru, Nissan, and a Motorsports nearby, and for the most part, all of the lots look like they are very well stocked. I have also seen a Fiat location somewhere in Long Beach, but I do not recall exactly where they are located. However, because of the significant drop in value of your vehicle once it leaves the lot, I would personally always suggest buying a slightly used car, and Craigslist is a really good area to check out, but make sure to have your Kelly Blue Book information at hand to be completely aware of what you are getting! There may also be a CarMax in Long Beach, and they are known for having very good deals on used cars that are in excellent condition. Overall, if you just drive around town, you can easily find car dealerships, so it's all about the buyer's preference in terms of where you go to purchase a new vehicle. Regardless, there are lots of options!

One day, on my way to work, I was prepared for the trip to take an extremely long duration as it always did, even though there are literally only 5.8 Miles in between my home and my place of work. I got on Alamitos street coming from Orange, and in front of me, there was a guy riding on a motorized Razor scooter. Not the kind of scooter that you sit on, mind you; this guy was standing up, wearing a motorcycle helmet, and flying in front of me down the busy road on a Razor scooter! It was absolutely hysterical, and although it still took me about 25 minutes to make it through all of the stoplights, I was highly entertained by this experience. Unfortunately, he was pulled over by a police officer on a motorcycle right in front of the construction area on Alamitos, causing me to sit through approximately 4 cycles of red lights, but the entertainment value was so high that I thought that it was worth it anyway. I didn't even mind driving over a bumpy road covered with pot holes because that experience was so bizarre and unusual that it completely made my day.

I-710. I like to drive on the highway 710 because it has exits and onramps to the area in Long Beach that I need to get to the most. For example, I believe that I could either get off on Cherry or Del Amo Boulevard from the 710 on my way home from work and either one would work equally as well. Even though the actual highway speed is only 55 miles per hour, at certain periods of the day, the flow of traffic is much quicker than that, and it significantly reduces my commuting time, even though the route on the 710 is much longer for me to get home than taking a side street. But because of the fact that there are so many stoplights and pedestrians/bicyclists in the Long Beach area, taking the 710 is a lot faster and there are usually not very many people slowing down, unless it is during a time of high traffic, like the morning rush to work or the 5 PM rush home. The actual highway itself doesn't really go through anything beautiful and there is nothing great to see around the area, but it is a good way to get to where you need to go in a somewhat timely manner, especially for LA County.

Watch out for the one way streets in downtown! You have to be careful to make sure you're not going down the wrong way on a one way street because they can get confusing even for the locals.
Long Beach, CA Consejos de compra
I don't know if matters where you buy the car from as long as you get a car that is somewhat gas-efficient. Long Beach is so close to many other major cities and there is a need to travel out of the city quite often from what I have known. It's best to have a car that won't guzzle gas especially because most of the driving in Long Beach is on roads due to the few highways around being on the outer edges of the city.

I have grown up in Long Beach and have numerous memories of driving around the city. I have delivered pizza for different restaurants all over the city and it is all wonderful. The streets can get very busy but people drive still drive with courtesy. It's always fun to drive on Loynes Dr. Because it is very uneven due to being located in the wetlands portion of Long Beach and it feels like you're riding a roller coaster driving down it. The scenic beach views along Ocean Blvd and in Belmont Shores are always wonderful to catch while out on a drive.

Loynes Drive. Other than the thrill that is Loyne's Drive, the wonderfully beautiful stretch of road on Ocean Blvd between Termino Ave and Cherry Ave is my favorite. There is not much that can beat a scenic Pacific Ocean view on a drive through Long Beach. The sunsets are beautiful to watch and you can even park somewhere and head over to the beach or Bluff Park and continue to enjoy the wonderful scenery out of your car.
