From the time we walked in they to buy our first new car, not sure what we wanted they took us by the hand and showed us around. They also showed us comparisons of other like cars. They explained the warranty in detail to my husband and I. They let us walk around to talk about this big purchase.

The one tip I can give drivers, is to stay away from Bear Valley Road. It is the main Road in the high desert and connects you to everything and other cities. However, it is a traffic nightmare. It can take you anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to reach your destination traveling this route. Always ask the locals for alternative routes. Other wise, you will just get frustrated.
If you are in need of a new car, the best place to go is Valley High. I love Valley High Honda, but they also have Toyota, KIA, and plenty of other dealers in that area. It is located off Civic Drive and Roy Rogers. You will see it from the freeway. The sales people are pretty nice and they really do not hound you to buy a car. There are also several used car dealers on Palmdale Road. Not to sure about their reputation but I hear that Family Auto is okay.
My greatest experience from driving in Victorville is that the city is surrounded by mountains. Regardless of where you look, you will see the hillsides. I especially like driving in the evening. The moon is huge and usually lights up the sky. Sunsets are beautiful too. Overall, driving in the high desert is a treat to this old country girl.
La Mesa Rd.. I love driving on La Mesa Road because it can get you across town in less than 10 minutes. If you are familiar with the high desert, you know that traveling by street can be a task. Now that the city has expanded La Mesa Rd., You can go from Catina Rd. To Industrial Blvd. In around 10 minutes. That is a miracle. That same commute would take you about 35-40 minutes using Bear Valley Road. I use this route almost everyday now.

Please be cautious of others not paying attention and speeding. This is a small town and people use the streets like it's a drag strip. No texting and driving, we have enough of that here too. I'm sorry I sound negative but it's that bad.
Beware of the salesman. Most are nice but it's a small town and they will try to get you to pay more for your vehicle. Try Palmdale Rd. Their are many car dealers. Please beware of used car salesman anywhere.
Driving here in Victorville is a double edged sword. I'd love to use public transportation but they close up pretty early and they have very weird stops and starts. Therefore, I go with driving. Driving here is a mess. All the people speed through the town, cut you off and drive like maniacs. There are several wrecks in this city and deaths due to head on collisions. I would say if you're driving here, be very cautious of other drivers because they are not paying attention.
7Th Streeet. I like this particular road because it's mostly empty and free of maniac drivers and people who just don't pay much attention. I like it also because it has several stores that I shop at and all at once I can tackle all of my shopping needs.
