With vineyard views no matter the season, beautiful wineries lining the road and rustic yet elegant homes on the hilltops, this is the most scenic road to drive in Temecula.

If you take Rancho California out into wine country, please know how to drive on a roundabout, because when people don't know it can slow everyone down. We aren't all tourists, some of us have to actually commute.

I live out in the Temecula wine country, about 20 minutes from the town of Temecula itself. Although it's sometimes inconvenient, it's a beautiful drive through the countryside with wineries, luxury homes, and horse farms along the way. De Portola Rd. Its a nice 55 MPH road that takes you from the southern side of town out to wine country. It goes through the Vale de los Caballos and is lined by nice horse farms.
