I bought the car used for a total of $3500 back in 2010 and the considering it was 7 years old at that point it still runs as good as it did the day I bought it. It's a two door coupe so it's very small but for a personal car for taking on commute for work or school it's great. Very fuel efficient as well I think I get around 27 mpg in city.

My 1998 Ford Escort LX is the ideal vehicle for someone who requires solid, basic transportation without the frills. Always reliable, with decent gas mileage and sufficient room, it's perfect for running around town. You won't find a lot in amenities on this vehicle but if you're searching for transportation without breaking the bank, the Escort fills the bill nicely. I've had mine for 13 years and, outside of the usual, expected maintenance on a vehicle of its age, it's given me no problems whatsoever.

I neither liked nor disliked this vehicle. It's a good car to get from point A to point B. I bought it used so, there were a number of things that were not working in the vehicle and or had to be repaired. Had I bought it new, it might have been more enjoyable. Other than that, it was reliable, it gives back what you put into it.
