Reliable with plenty of horsepower and great mileage - the vehicle that changed my mind about Ford.
Prior to owning my Ford Five Hundred, I'd sworn off the brand due to a previous bad experience with a Ford Escort station wagon. As of now, I don't think I every want to drive any other make again.
I can't say enough in terms of reliability. In six years, this vehicle has held up throughout Midwest winters and thousands of miles leaving Missouri to start a new life in Arizona.
A battery replacement and swapping out a flat tire aside, my car has never needed a major repair yet after consistent maintenance. That's actually more durability than I can credit to the Nissan that came before it.
While it's no sporty coupe, it has giddy-up to spare. It doesn't lack for acceleration on the highway and keeps pace with just about any car on the road.
The mileage isn't exactly ideal. It gets less than 27 miles to the gallon at best, but to look at the bigger body on this sedan, it's better than one would expect.
On the inside, the steering wheel controls are a true luxury. It's a joy to be able to mute the stereo or dial up the volume with a flick of my thumb, and to do the same with the cruise control.

Overall a great vehicle. Very durable.
I enjoy this vehicle. It is very durable. It hasn't required any major repairs and is still running. It does have an issue with the braking system. The car will jerk to move forward while you have your foot on the brake sometimes, which is very dangerous. Overall, it has been a decent car for my family. We've had it since 2009. I also like that the gear shift is in the floor/middle console area of the car.

Smooth ride for a used car.
Purchased this car with 230,000 miles on it. 600 bucks. What a steal. Absolutely loved this car. It was still driving smooth. The A/C went out after about 20,000 more miles. But that was the factory A/C in the car. It had the really nice wood trim on the dash and was very sleek looking. I installed my own speaker system in it. The car was so roomy and I had plenty of extra space after doing so. I wired up my own sound system and two twelve inch subwoofers and it would kick. Hard. I blew all the door speakers quickly though, so I'd knock a few points off for that. Tinted windows and tinted tail lights - wow! I will never buy a non-tinted car again.
