Solid commuter car
I am a college student who was looking for a budget car to run safely for around 20-50 miles/day. I purchased my vehicle in 2015. It was used and appeared to have previously been in a accident (broken glass inside the car, etc). However, it has been one of the most durable and reliable cars I've owned. I expected to require body work after I bought it, but it only needed regular maintaince items (brake pads, tires, etc.) which is nice. For an older car, it is high quality and runs efficiently. It rarely has problems apart from regular maintaince tasks. There is plenty of space for 2-4 people to travel comfortably. Overall, I would recommend it for those who need a car that's reliable and easy on the budget.

Great family car
I love any and all Ford cars. This is my second Ford. I purchased it three years ago, used. I needed a car to transport me back and forth to work as well as transport for two children. I love the spaciousness to this car. The trunk is large, allowing space to transport a ton of items. Going to the beach I fit a small grill, four lawn chairs, and several bags. The radio is a great stock radio to have in a car. The heat and air conditioner has always been great. It is easy to complete maintenance on the car yourself, including but not limited to oil changes, spark plug changes, sensor changes. The front engine area is big, so there is enough space to get around to repair things. And being a Ford, they are normally easy to fix, even for the most novice at home mechanic. The pickup on the car is decent, doesn't feel like the car is struggling to go, so you can zip around town. It also gives enough space for a eight and nine year old to not be on top of each other, which is important for children, because they are always complaining about "he's touching me." My car is gold, but I would love a second one in maroon or green. When we purchase another car, I will definitely be looking for a Taurus.

Probably Was Great Once
We bought this car after our beloved Nissan Altima was totaled in an accident. We were given way less than our car was worth by the insurance company, plus we were moving around the same time so we wanted to use a portion of the money to pay the security deposit and first month's rent. Needless to say, we didn't leave ourselves with a lot of options. The car had 128,000 miles on it, supposedly a new transmission, and we paid about $2,700 for it. We test drove it, and foolishly paid for it on the spot rather than taking it to a mechanic. Over the next two years, we've had the fuel pump replaced, the brake system rebuilt, tires replaced, and the cooling system redone. We have spent more than what we paid for the car on repairs, which we found out later was more than the car was actually worth. The car makes moaning noises when we drive it, the A/C blows out hot air, and we occasionally get weird electrical system problems, like the turn signal sound clicks at twice the rate despite normal turn signal function, and the tire pressure light coming on even when the tires have the proper amount of air. The car is basically a time bomb, and we only continue to drive it because we don't have the money for a new car.
